Our Mission
We boast an ambitious yet concrete mission: to strengthen Friuli Venezia Giulia’s Metal and Mechanical Engineering sector in order for it to become an international model par excellence. To do this, we listen to companies, help the FVG Region develop validated and effective specialisation strategies (S3) and we constantly collaborate with public and private entities to build relationships and projects in favour of local businesses.

Our History
The company was established more than 10 years ago in Pordenone, Italy as the Development Agency of the Industrial District of Mechanical Components, aka. CO.MEC.
By 2009, we had already grown by no longer representing just the component companies, but also the thermoelectromechanical companies in Medio Friuli: thus COMET was born. 25 municipalities under our jurisdiction and roughly 1400 businesses.
However, it was in 2015 that the true transformation took place. We became the Metal and Mechanical Engineering Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia; we therefore acquired regional competence and started a privatisation process that ended in September the same year with the total liquidation of public shares at face value.
In 2017, we continued growing and opened a new operational office in Udine, hosted by the Friuli Innovazione business accelerator. And for us, this is just the beginning. The future is yet to be written and we hope to write it together with you.
